“Pizza and Movie Nights at Co. ”

Ordering a pizza and watching a movie is perfect for about any occasion at home. But why not leave the sweats behind and put on something half decent when a gourmet pizza and foodie movie is calling?

Starting today, Jim Lahey and his team at Co. will host movie nights every second Monday of each month and create a pie inspired by the movie. Tonight's movie is Les Blank's "Garlic is as Good as Ten Mothers" (with a garlicky-inspired pizza, of course). It'll be shown with no sound at the beginning of dinner service (5 p.m.) and with sound at 9:30 p.m. Part of the sales on movie nights will go toward the West 50th Street Campus' High School of Hospitality Management and Food and Finance High School.

Co. is located at 230 Ninth Ave. (at 24th St.), 212-243-1105, http://www.co-pane.com/.

“Oh Oh, Another Overhyped Pizza Rip Off On Life Sup”

This promo and others like it smacks of desperation. Perhaps instead of blowing big bucks on p.r. budgets guaranteeing hype and NY Mag placement, these places should work on food and service. That way, maybe they wouldn't have to charge 5 bucks for bread and butter and wouldn't be in dire straits.
