“Ovenly Expands to Greenpoint”

The folks at Ovenly, popular makers of snacks and sweets, sent over word that they plan to open shop in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, in March. We've been fans of theirs since we tried them at Smorgasburg this summer and love their take on savory-singed sweets. Spicy bacon caramel corn? Apricot thyme scones? Candied ginger chocolate cookies? Yes, please!

Owners Agatha Kulaga and Erin Patinkin will bring their fresh ingredients — think aromatic ground spices, sweet vanilla beans, quality chocolates — to this new space, which has a kitchen in one part and a hybrid retail and café space in the other, designed by artist Brady Dollarhide and brothers Oliver and Evan Haslegrave of hOmE. They’ll run it as part test kitchen and storefront for their snack experiments.

On an interesting note, they also provide ferry commuters with grab-and-go breakfast and lunch boxes. Classes and small events are slated to take place at their brick-and-mortar location down the road. Feel free to share your two cents about these treats!

Ovenly will be located at 31 Greenpoint Avenue, www.ovenlynyc.com
