“Blue Ribbon Beer Garden Open Now”

Blue Ribbon Beer Garden, the first seasonal barbecue and beer venture from Blue Ribbon's brothers Bromberg is now open on the Lower East Side!  

Arriving just in time for summer in a spacious terrace on the Lower East Side, Blue Ribbon Beer Garden is an outdoor oasis overlooking Allen Street complete with a pingpong table, board games and beer. A welcome departure from typical beer-hall bräts and pretzels, its menu features $15 plates of smoky barbecue – choose from BBQ Hen, BBQ Ribs or Market Vegetable of the Day – accompanied by bean salad, coleslaw and cornbread. Bar snacks such as pork rinds and boiled peanuts are available for $3.  

A diverse beer list boasts brews both familiar and esoteric with such cult favorites as Hitachino White Ale from Japan, large-format Saison DuPont Farmhouse Ale from Belgium and small-batch Sorachi Ace by Brooklyn Brewery. Tried-and-true crowd pleasers, including Brooklyn Lager, Victory Prima Pils and Duvel, will also be available, while wines – red, white or rosé – can be ordered by the $10 carafe.
 
The vibe is breezy and fun, accented by whimsical aesthetic touches like colorful feathers that swing from the ceiling and walls lined with reclaimed barn wood from upstate New York. The 1,650-square-foot space, which offers comfortable outdoor seating for 60, is primed with retractable side paneling for unpredictable summer weather.
 
Blue Ribbon Beer Garden accepts guests on a walk-in basis only and is open 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 12 p.m. – 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
