The next series of pasta classes at Giovanni Rana Pasticio & Cucina (75 9th avenue, www.rananyc.com), in Chelsea Market on Sunday, April 28 and Monday, April 29.
 
During each class, pasta lovers are invited to a hands-on demonstration and meal hosted by the Rana family's very own Antonella Rana. You will learn how to roll dough, mold ravioli or tortellino shapes and combine fresh, seasonal ingredients to create the ideal pasta filling. Directly following each class, you will sit down to enjoy a chef's version of the day's recipes at Giovanni Rana Pastificio & Cucina, and wrap up their own creations to-go. Upcoming classes include:

Sunday, April 28, 10:00 a.m.: Pasta-making for Kids
A kid-friendly version of Rana's pasta classes, Antonella will demonstrate pasta recipes perfect for families while children roll and stretch dough and create fun pasta shapes. Price is $60 per parent/child couple and includes welcome brunch beverage, class and pasta dish at the restaurant.

Monday, April 29, 6:30 p.m.: Springtime Pasta Making
Following the success of their recent Ravioli 101 and The Origins of Tortellino classes, they are inviting pasta lovers back to the restaurant for their next hands-on class and meal hosted by Antonella Rana. In the "Springtime Pasta" class, they will celebrate a verdant array of spring vegetables, from Fava Beans to Green Asparagus and Ramps. Price is $65 per person and includes welcome beverage, appetizer, class, a chef's tasting of the dishes, take-home recipe cards, and your own creations to go.
