“I wouldn't call it a rip off”
I agree with tt's comments above. The argument is not valid. You can't expect to make up your own prices or expect the restaurant to make special exceptions. If that's what they charge, then that's what it is. Take it or leave it. They shouldn't be bad-mouthed. You did mention that they had reasonable prices, right? Just because they charge $10 for a bowl of plain pasta doesn't make their establishment a "rip off".
