February is Pancake Month at Clinton Street Baking Company

Weekends are pancake days, but when lines at Clinton Street Baking stretch miles long, and the snow is tumbling down with a vengeance, it’s easy to forgo the pancakes. Well, now you won’t have to. Pancakes are served every day (and every night) in February thanks to the Clinton Street Baking Company’s annual moth long homage to the fluffy golden griddlecake. Their Pancake combinations change every few days and include choices from the traditional (blackberry and blueberry, chocolate chunk, caramelized pineapple, and crunchy banana), to the racy (fresh coconut and Japanese pumpkin).

Cassoulet Festival at Savoy

Nothing tames winter’s bite like a hearty bowl of cassoulet, especially when served in front of a blazing hearth. Get both on Saturday February 5th
at Savoy's Cassoulet Festival Tasting,
where seven versions served with palate-cleansing winter greens and some great Languedoc red will be served. The walk-around tasting goes from 12:30-3:30pm and includes cassoulets from chefs Shanna Pacifico (Back Forty)

Sunday Night Burger Deal at Elsewhere

Sunday evenings can be rather dreary in winter. If you live in Hell’s Kitchen, one way to chase the Sunday night blues is to head over to Elsewhere Restaurant where Executive Chef Megan Johnson, who has been running the Casellula Cheese & Wine Cafe for the past two years, is offering up a special burger deal. She’s serving her signature burger (on a Kaiser Roll with Caramelized Onions, and 5-Spoke Tumbleweed cheese) with housemade fries and any draft beer for $15.
