“Eat Pancakes, Saratoga Races, and Dumplings for East Africa”

Forget Hot Dogs! It’s Time for a Pancake Eating Contest
 
Fairway’s Chef de Cuisine, Mitchell London, is hosting a Pancake Eating Contest in the Upper West Side store’s café on Saturday August 6th – starting at 9:30 am. These are delicious blueberry pancakes, made from a recipe of Mitchell’s mom, Elaine.
 
You’ll get ten minutes to eat the most pancakes and the winner gets a $100 gift card to Fairway.
 
You must be 18 years old to enter – space is limited – Please go to the café to register.
 
Fairway is located at 2127 Broadway, Café is on the second floor.
 
When in Saratoga

If you’re up at the Saratoga Race Course this weekend (or anytime during the rest of the season), stop by for some Danny Meyer fare at the newly opened restaurant, The Post House. Through Labor Day, The Post House is serving its authentic Blue Smoke pit barbecue along with Shake Shack burgers, fries, and daily specials like $3 drafts. Enjoy!

Eat Dumplings to Help East Africa

To raise money for East African countries struck by drought and famine, Koi Restaurants in New York (40 West 40th Street), Las Vegas and Los Angeles, will donate half the proceeds from the sale of edamame dumplings with lobster in mushroom broth ($18) and fruit-infused sake ($4) to the World Food Program of the United Nations.
