“Bouley Thanksgiving Class, Saxon + Parole Serves Brunch”

Tonight: Learn How to Cook a Bouley Thanksgiving

If you’re in charge of the tirkey and the fixins this year, you may want to get a little help before serving your family a dry bird with scorched Brussels sprouts. Head to David Bouley’s Test Kitchen tonight, Thursday, November 10th at 6pm for an exclusive Thanksgiving Menu Deconstructed Cooking Class ($175).

The class will be taught by Test Kitchen Chef Gillian Lowe and will feature Bouley’s original holiday recipes including roasted turkey, seasonal sides and a decadent Pumpkin Cheesecake for dessert. To register, visit http://www.bouleynyc.com/cookingclasses/.

Punch Bowls at Brunch at Saxon + Parole
 
Brunch has begun at Saxon + Parole (served from11:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays). Executive chef Brad Farmerie (who makes a feast-worthy brunch at his sister restaurant Public), will offer items such as a BLAT (bacon, lettuce, avocado and tomato on toasted 7-grain bread with smoked paprika mayo); French Toast stuffed with bacon, bananas and homemade nutella; Toasted Potato Parmesan Cake topped with Smithfield Mangalista ham, poached eggs and yuzu hollandaise; Polenta Pancakes, with whipped crème fraîche and quince; as well as a selection of dinner favorites including Saxon + Parole’s Burger and Roasted Organic Half Chicken. 

As is typical of the Public family of restaurants, you can expect a dynamic selection of brunch cocktails including Bloody Marys made with tomato, celery and carrot, juiced-to-order, with riffs - such as a Bloody Caesar made with Krogstad aquavit, clamato juice, dill, coriander salt and a freshly shucked oyster; and a Bloody Maria, made with Espolon blanco, fresh vegetable juice, chipotle, fresh cilantro and a mezcal float.  

Brunch service will also boast a Bloody Mary Bar, where you can season your own cocktails, and new drinks like an Aperol Spitz; Rum Root Beer Float; Spiced Pear Mule; SoHo Iced Tea; Zydeco Coffee; Bourbon Milkshake; and a variety of Brunch Punch Bowls.
