Family Fiesta at Toloache 82

On Saturday, March 31 - Sunday, April 1, Chef/Owner Julian Medina will host his monthly themed family fiesta series to celebrate spring, at his newest restaurant, Toloache 82 on the Upper East Side. From 11:30am - 3:00pm on both Saturday and Sunday, kids can enjoy:

· Toloache's $15 kids' prix-fixe brunch menu

· Spring themed arts and crafts

· Complimentary face painting

The restaurant's regular brunch and beverage menus will also be available for adults.

Also, to celebrate this beautiful weather the restaurant just opened their 25 seat outdoor patio.

Sharpen Your Knives; Feed the Hungry

Knives will be sharpened to benefit City Harvest, at Broadway Panhandler, 65 East Eighth Street, on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; $12 for three knives while you wait.

IACP in NYC

This year the International Association of Culinary Professionals is holding its conference in New York. On Sunday, a few sessions will be open to the public at various locations. They include an informal gathering of food bloggers and cookbook authors; workshops about preventing childhood obesity and improving school lunches; a lunch to benefit several organizations, including the Culinary Trust and Wellness in the Schools, that work to improve food for children; and a pop-up restaurant with food created by by Madhur Jaffrey, with seatings at 5:30 and 8:30 p.m., also to benefit the Culinary Trust.
