“A Different Kind of Halloween Costume Contest, Home Brew Competition”

230 Fifth's So 2011 Costume Contest

Did you have a great costume last year? Well, enter 230 FIFTH’s “So 2011 Costume Contest” for a chance to win the opportunity to participate in the 39th Annual Village Halloween Parade on Wednesday October 31st aboard the expansive rooftop bar’s 30 foot-plus palm tree punctuated float that will glide ghoulishly up Sixth Avenue from Spring Street to 16th Street.

Dressed in one of the bar’s famous red fleece robes and an eerie white mask, the winner (and guest) of the contest will be in the heart New York City’s “most wildly creative public event” - on one of the very few floats allowed - with its hundreds of puppets more than 50 bands and thousands costume-clad Halloween celebrants. A post-parade dinner at 230 FIFTH overlooking the Manhattan skyline will cap off the unforgettable evening.

To win this crazy, quintessential New York City experience, interested Halloween enthusiasts simply need to submit a photo of them in costume last year to yourcostumephoto@gmail.com by midnight on Oct. 30. 230 FIFTH will share the photos with the bar’s Facebook community and then select a winner with the most creative costume.

The winner will be notified about where to meet the float in the pre-parade staging area, where he / she and guest will be issued their robes and masks for their ride on 230 FIFTH’s first float in the world famous parade. 230 FIFTH’s “So 2011 Costume Contest” is open to anyone 18 and older. There is no entry fee and no purchase required.
