“Party like a Swede, Hanukkah Family Fun”

Swedish Smorgasbord

The traditional Swedish smorgasbord for Santa Lucia, a holiday celebration, will be Saturday and Sunday at Scandinavia House, 58 Park Avenue (37th Street), with brunch seatings at noon, 1 and 2 p.m., $50, and dinner at 6 or 7:30 p.m., $60. Prices include glogg, but not tax or tip. Children 6 to 12 pay half price; under 6 are free. At dinner seatings, a Santa Lucia choir will perform. Reservations: (971) 284-4345

Hanukkah Fun

If you’re celebrating Hanukkah, plan a visit  to The Jewish Museum for special Hanukkah crafts and fun. You can learn to create a Hanukkah menorah from found objects, decorate a dreidel, dance to the tunes of Yosi and the Superdads, explore the Museum’s world-famous collection of Hanukkah lamps .

  • When: Sunday, December 9, 2012; Noon-4PM
  • Where: The Jewish Museum, 1109 Fifth Avenue at 92nd Street
  • Admission: Activities are free with museum admission ($12 for adults, $7.50 for students, and FREE for kids under 12).
