“Food Trucks: Have They Jumped the Shark? ”

Used to be that food trucks were the stuff of Halal kebabs, tacos, and water dogs. Then came the revolution started by the Treats Truck and that grew to include waffles, ice cream and most recently schnitzel. Personally, I love the phenomenon but when big restaurant groups get in the game, is that tarnishing the entrepreneurial spirit of serving food on wheels?

Well, you decide. This weekend BLT Restaurant Group will launch their newest venture, the GO Burger food truck (pictured below). The truck will begin serving on April 17 and will appear at various street fairs around New York City serving classic American fare, offering several burger varieties, Kobe beef hot dogs and fries.  The truck also has breakfast in the morning. For dessert, cookies, brownies and thick milkshakes.

According to the PR, the truck will become a staple of the city during the spring, summer, and early fall. BLT Restaurant Group is actively pursuing a second truck for the near future.

Find the truck’s location on their website (www.goburger.com) or by following tweets from the truck drivers (www.twitter.com/goburger).
