“Maritime Parc: Bring Your Own Boat!”

Liberty State Park is a place most of us have never been. But with the arrival of Maritime Parc, a sweeping 30,000-square-foot, three-story restaurant on the shores of the Hudson River with beautiful views of the lower Manhattan skyline, you might become a regular on the seven minute NY-NJ ferry ride.

The space is modern and minimalist, the work of designer Stephanie Goto who also worked on Aldea, Corton and Morimoto). Chef Chris Siverson has created a moder American menu from local ingredients — chickens from Pollo Rooso, pork and lamb from Cherry Grove Farm, greens and herbs from Satur Farms -- dishes such as New York strip with whipped bone marrow or grilled oysters with leek and bacon cream from the raw bar.

At the bar, you'll find cocktails by Greg Seider of Summit Bar who is turning out drinks with a nautical theme (i.e., the Maritime Punch made of Diplimatico Reserva Rum based punch mixed with Sauvignon Blanc, cinnamon-infused agave, St. Germain, lemon juice and a Pinot Noir).

Now here's the best part: if you have a boat, you can actually pull to the dock and order “boat service,” where food will be brought to you.

For now, dinner is served Monday through Thursday and Sunday from 5:30 to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday until 11 p.m. Reservations can be made at livebookings.com. Enjoy!Maritime Parc is located at 84 Audrey Zapp Drive, Liberty State Park, Jersey City, N.J., 201-413-0050, www.maritimeparc.com.
