“Ted & Honey Expands to the Navy Yard”

Those of you who live in Cobble Hill or Carroll Gardens probably know all about Ted & Honey, the cheery farm-to-table café that was established in May 2008 by Christopher “Ted” Jackson and his sister Michelle “Honey” Mannix.

Chef Ted supports local farmers from Long Island, upstate New York and Pennsylvania and sources all his meat and eggs--hormone and pesticide-free-- from Dines Farm in the Catskills. D'Amico's, a long-established Brooklyn roasting company, provides Ted & Honey’s house blend coffee and bread is baked daily at Caputo's Bakery. For me, Ted & Honey has long been a favorite for their fantastic sandwiches, waist-eliminating cookies, and refreshing summery lemonades ideal for a picnic in Cobble Hill park with Emily and Craig.

Now they are beginning a new chapter with three new culinary ventures. Brooklyn’s Favorite “Made From Scratch” Café has now opened a full service catering division  - Parker Red Culinary Events by Ted & Honey. In addition, Parker Red has been named the exclusive caterers for BLDG 92 at the Brooklyn Navy Yard Center, and has opened a new café location at BLDG 92. The new space at the Brooklyn Navy Yard offers over 8,000 square feet of rentable space, and its new commercial kitchen will permit Parker Red to do more full-service events.

Helmed by Executive Chef Chris “Ted” Jackson, Parker Red is committed to the quality and culture found at Ted & Honey. All of the food prepared comes from local, organic and trusted sources, and everything is house made from scratch. Specializing in carefully crafted American driven farm to table cuisine, catering menus are often inspired by the south and change to feature items in season and locally grown and raised.

Open seven days a week for museum visitors, tenants of the Brooklyn Navy Yard and the general public, the new Ted & Honey location  - Ted & Honey at BLDG 92 will align its trademark innovative and sustainable efforts with those of the Brooklyn Navy Yard Center. Ted & Honey at BLDG 92 will also help to meet the Brooklyn Navy Yard’s sustainability goals by continuing to exercise its local, homemade and organic menu and practices that have been praised since the Cobble Hill location opened in 2008.

Ted & Honey Cobble Hill is located at 264 Clinton Street, 718-852-2212.
Ted & Honey at BLDG 92 is located at BLDG 92, Brooklyn Navy Yard, 347-335-0529.
