“ABC Pang: A Sandwich for Edible Schoolyard and Double H Ranch”

Ben Daitz and Ratha Chaupoly, the duo behind cult-favorite Southeast Asian sandwich shop Num Pang, have partnered with chef Dan Kluger and chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten of ABC Kitchen to launch a limited edition ABC Pang with proceeds benefitting The Edible Schoolyard Project and The Double H Ranch. Vongerichten and Kluger’s ABC Pang features chicken salad with Thai basil, jalapenos, chili mayonnaise and lime piled onto a crunchy semolina baguette that is topped with crispy chicken skin and spicy cashew butter spiked with Thai chilies and candied ginger.

The ABC Pang will be available for $9.25 from June 12th through July 12th, with $6 of each sale shared between two charities personally selected by the chefs. Num Pang selected The Double H Ranch (www.doublehranch.org), a year round camp in upstate New York that provides specialized programs and support for children and their families dealing with life threatening illnesses. Vongerichten and Kluger have chosen The Edible Schoolyard (www.esynyc.org), a charity that empowers children in New York City public schools to make healthier food choices through hands on learning.

The ABC pang is available at both Num Pang Union Square at 21 East 12th Street and University, and Num Pang Grand Central at 140 East 41st Street between Lexington and 3rd Avenue.
