“Chelsea Table Opens the Dary Bar Window July 25th”



You may have already visited Chelsea Table, founded by Gary Hirshberg, co-founder of Stonyfield Farm. The restauarnt, which features a menu by chef David Seigal, features organic and locally sourced ingredients. Think grilled cheese made with Vermont-raised, hormone-free cheddar, hand-tossed salads with organic greens from Long Island farms, hand-crafted sandwiches served on freshly baked organic flatbread and organic yoghurt smoothies. Eggs from a fourth-generation upstate family farm, all-natural deli provisions from Applegate, hormone-free cheeses from Vermont Creamery, chicken from Pella Farms in Bethel, NY and young lettuces and herbs from North Fork Long Island farms are just some of the locally-sourced ingredients taking center plate.  

As a nod to dairy bars of yore, they're opening up the Dairy Bar Window on July 25th. From here you can walk up (or bike/skate up) to the window to order up fruit and yoghurt smoothies, frozen yoghurt bars, yoghurt cups and their organic tart frozen yoghurt. A great way to beat the summer heat!

The Dairy Bar is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. and is located just west of the 23rd St entrance to Chelsea Piers, www.chelseastable.com.
