“Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream Hits NYC”

For the first time ever Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams' Sweet Treats Truck, the brightly-colored truck that makes rounds in Columbus, OH where Jeni's originated and currently has eight scoop shops, is driving to New York to brave the city streets, and, of course, dole out ice cream.

Jeni's, which is made using Snowville Creamery grass-grazed milk and cream from Ohio exclusively, and tapioca starch and tapioca syrup to help create a smooth texture, uses artisanal ingredients made right in the state, like OYO Whiskey and Yazoo Sue beer. It can only be found in a few grocery stores throughout the boroughs, so this will give fans a rare chance to experience the ice cream like it's done in Ohio.

Jeni will first scoop from the truck at Meatopia on Sat. September 8th, and then they will hit the city streets, handing out free scoops in front of several of their retail partners in Manhattan and Brooklyn through Sat. Sept 15. The truck will offer four Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams summertime flavors: Sweet Corn & Black Raspberries, Roasted Strawberry Buttermilk, Salty Caramel and Lemon & Blueberries Frozen Yogurt.
