“Sleep No More Adds Jazz Age Rooftop Restaurant and Bar ”

If you’ve not been to Sleep No More at the McKitrick Hotel, you’re missing out on one of the most thrilling, haunting, and mesmerizing interactive theater experiences of your lifetime. A riff on Macbeth that combines swooning movement, acrobatics, murder, mystery, sex, orgies, dance, rave, strobe parties, silent stares, erotic meetings, behind-closed-doors trysts, and bar room brawls, it is the singular most exciting experience I’ve had in New York theater. And I go to a lot of theater. You can read more about what it is here, but I suggest you go, leave the person you’ve come with and explore. Have yourself an adventure you’ll never forget. And you’ll be back. My brother in law Adam has been about a dozen times now. I’ve been twice and plan on returning again.

In any case, do make a point of going to see it. But now the team behind the Macbeth Madness is offering a new Jazz Age rooftop garden bar and restaurant with cocktails mixed by classic cocktail historian and mixologist Dave Wondrich (he’s serving punch bowls for large groups or thirsty individuals), and food by former Employees Only chef Julia Jasic—pulled brisket toast, potted peekytoe crab, smoked trout salad, along with sausages, charcuterie and cheese plates. It opens officially on September 20^th. Enjoy.
