"After a decade long relationship, Tao Executive Chef Sam Hazen and the Broadway Restaurant Group have parted ways. Hazen drove the culinary component of the business at Tao NY and Tao Las Vegas to unseen heights; both locations together totaled $93.4 million in sales in 2007, making them two of the nation’s highest grossing restaurants. Under his direction each boasted an enviable bottom line.
Following his departure from Tao, Hazen turns his full attention to his existing consulting business, HazenX3, which specializes in menu and kitchen system creation for both high volume and small start up restaurants. sam hazen has scumbagged so many people at tao including both pastry chefs....what an awful and disgusting person to work for ....im surprised you never got ur ass kicked after work !u should be ashamed of urself !
being a server there for 3 years A great place till the news of what i just heard.iT WILL NEVER BE THE SAME.
The loss of this great chef will hurt the consistency of both Tao restaurants. He was the driving culinary force behind the whole Tao concept. I hate to say it but I will not go there anymore because I want to eat "his" food. Can't wait to find out where he lands next. Good luck Chef Sam.
