“New Seasonal American Resto and Wine Bar on Upper West Side”
Philip Kirsh along with new operating partner and Upper West Sider Jeremy Wladis (Nonna, Firehouse, Campo) are in the process of changing Aix, the former French Brasserie located at
2398 Broadway (at 88th Street), into an American restaurant and wine bar. At the moment, they’re still working out the details (like the chef, and the restaurant’s new name) but they’ve hired Lincoln Clark to revamp and redesign the space with an open kitchen, a chef’s table, and an oversized horseshoe-shaped communal dining table anchoring the dining room. The vibe will be casual, neighborly, and fun, with a menu of seasonal American small plates and sharable entrees in the Stanton Social style of eating, meant to be mixed and matched with wines by the quartino. Stay tuned.
