“Getting Enough Out of Your Strong Buzz? Read me to make sure!”

If you’re anything like me, there are a lot of thoughts and ideas that float through your brain on a given day. Will I get laid off this week? How much longer till lunch? Where to have dinner tonight? Can I get away without going to the gym tonight? When will it get warm? Is that guy in the next row ever going to start wearing deodorant?

To add to the list of strands and in your head, allow me to add just one more. As we approach the anniversary of The Strong Buzz redesign (thanks to Andrew Almeter and Harvey Kreiswirth for a great job), I wanted to make sure you’re all getting enough out of your Strong Buzz. I hope so, but just to make sure, I thought I’d take a moment to give you a little guided tour of the site’s content to make sure you know what we have here to offer you in terms of making your dining experiences the best they can be.

The best way to get the most out of The Strong Buzz is to check in daily; I usually write about 3-4 posts a day and to make sure you don’t miss a one, sign up for our RSS feed. These can range from details on a fun culinary class or foodie event taking place (look under Events), or news of a restaurant opening (or more frequently lately, closing), a great new deal for lunch, happy hour or dinner (lots of those lately, too), a chef on the move, or other breaking news (all listed under Buzz).

Pot Luck is the section where you’ll find a different food or dining feature every week. Last week we offered you a Guide to Valentine’s Day Dining, and prior to that a guide to Super Bowl eats, a Q&A with a rising star chef from Madison, Wisconsin (Derek Rowe), and over the past few months, reviews of cookbooks, dining Top Ten lists, a Holiday Gift Guide, and news from our resident Cheese Wiz Sasha Davies (her Cheese Wiz column appears monthly), and much, much more.

My Reviews are written once a week and range from new places to old standards, in Brooklyn and Manhattan, with an eye on bring you the best of NYC’s dining and filtering out the places you don’t need to spend your money at. If you’re stumped and not sure where to go on a date, where to take your parents for dinner, or where to take that client to make the right impression, you can always email me for personal advice. I am happy to help!

The Weekend Buzz is published every Thursday and gives you a full on roster of ideas of how to spice up your weekend with cool foodie events, new places to have brunch, must-have cocktail places, and much more.

You can also become a Buzzer, which gives you your very own profile page where you can include a photo, and list your favorite foods, restaurants, cookbooks, music and anything else you’d like to share (think of it as a Facebook for foodies page). Becoming a Buzzer is free, and it also allows you to comment on all of the content of the site. Be heard!

Wondering what are some of my favorite food blogs, check out my blog roll! Want to waste some time, watch my television clips! Want to know how I got started as a writer (after leaving a career as a lawyer)? Read more about me!

And if you love The Strong Buzz, you can become a fan on Facebook and follow me on Twitter!

Well, my dear readers, that’s the Strong Buzz—cutting edge dining news for every day, a plan for every weekend, plus events, features, reviews, and a lot of (as they say in New Orleans) lagniappe in between. I hope you enjoy getting the Strong Buzz emails and that you will check in with the site more often to make sure you’re not missing out on anything on a daily basis.

Before I sign off, I want to hear from you, too! Tell me what you think about me! Seriously, I am always up for some good feedback and if there are features you’d like to see added or there’s something about the site you’d like to share with me, please do. Email me at andrea@thestrongbuzz.com. I look forward to hearing from you!

Thanks, as always for reading and for being a part of The Strong Buzz family. Now, get out there, and READ IT AND EAT!
