“Free Mac & Cheese, Wintermarket, and Brunch at Yerba Buena Perry”

Saturday: Free Macaroni & Cheese at Macbar, 54 Prince Street, 212-226-8877

Macbar, the popular gourmet macaroni & cheese restaurant in SoHo, is getting into the holiday spirit, giving away one small mac & cheese per person on Saturday, December 19 to the first 300 people in line starting at 12:00pm. Executive Chef Michael Ferraro is offering your choice of three of his most popular mac & cheese flavors to all waiting in line: the classic, margarita mac, and cheeseburger mac. What’s more, for each mac & cheese given away, macbar will donate $10 to the Have A Heart Children’s Cancer Society in the hopes of bringing a little extra cheer to a child in need this holiday season.

On Sunday, the New Amsterdam Wintermarket is in full bloom on South Street, (between Beekman Street and Peck Slip, on the East River waterfront in Lower Manhattan from 11:00am to 4:00pm) with 80 participants now scheduled. This weekend, the market features The City Harvest Benefit, featuring wassail (a traditional spiced, mulled ale) sponsored by Heartland Brewery to benefit City Harvest with bell ringing and other wintery delights & The Home Baking Pavilion with butter, flour, honey nuts, spices, & more sponsored by Vermont Butter and Cheese Creamery.
