Sunday: Free Brunch for Kids at Community Food and Juice

If you’re a parent of a youngster, you’re up early and always on the lookout for places to play, eat, and read (at least I am). Community Food & Juice is tackling the eating part of that equation with a brand new weekend kids brunch special. Between 9 and 10am, Saturday and Sunday, kids under 10 receive complimentary oatmeal with caramelized apples and cinnamon butter. Sunday: Prime Meats & Frankies Oktoberfest

This Sunday join the Franks of Frankies and Prime Meats for a day long celebration of the pride of Oktoberfest: beer and wurst. The festivities include traditional Bavarian fare and a special musical treat after 6pm. The party is at 457 Court St. Brooklyn.

Sunday Supper at Print

Print, the stunning seasonal restaurant located in the Ink Hotel in Hell’s Kitchen is now offering is now offering a prix-fix, three-course Sunday Supper for $45 a person. The menu, created by Executive Chef, Charles Rodriguez and Executive Pastry Chef, Heather Carlucci-Rodriguez, incorporates ingredients from New York area regional farms and local vendors sourced by Print's in-house forager, Johanna Kolodny.

The menu changes every week but sample dishes might include chicory salad with roasted Kabocha squash, toasted pumpkin seeds and butternut squash vinaigrette, Arcadian pastures braised beef with red wine, turnips, carrots, gremolata, and haricot verts with shallots and almonds, and for dessert (which you cannot skip when Heather is doing the baking), gingerbread pudding with poached quince and sour cream ice cream.
