Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at Suenos

Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican army’s unlikely victory over French forces at The Battle of Puebla on May 5th, 1862. The battle became a symbol for Mexico’s courage against the formidable French forces, armed with the most modern weaponry.

Chef Sue Torres of Suenos has traveled to Puebla several times and the city holds a special place in her heart. To thank the women of Puebla who taught her their cooking secrets—Señora Ramos, Señora Ramos-Vernardina, and Gloria Xochihua Rosas—she has created a menu in their honor. Each course is paired with a different cocktail for the full experience of being in Mexico! Her menu (listed in its entirety below) will be served through Sunday!

The 3rd Annual Kentucky Derby Party at Eleven Madison Park

The Kentucky Derby is considered the most exciting two minutes in sports. This weekend, you can enjoy those precious minutes with some of the most exciting food and drink in Manhattan at your side. Eleven Madison Park is hosting their 3rd Annual Kentucky Derby Party on May 7th. For $150 per person, you can take in all the live derby coverage you can handle. Tickets also include Chef Humm’s Kentucky-inspired hors d’oeuvres, open bar featuring classic mint juleps and specialty bourbon cocktails by Maker’s Mark and Nat Sherman cigars. Take Mom Sailing

Mother's Day Brunch plans can be so ordinary. Instead of Benedict at your standard spot, set sail on the Hudson above the World Yacht. Mother’s Day Brunch tickets include a private table, brunch buffet, and complimentary mimosa. There will also be a live pianist on board performing relaxing tunes and ballads.  For dinner, tickets include a private table, four-course dinner, and on board entertainment.  Tickets are $69 per person.
