Betel’s Sunday Duck Dinner 

We’re all familiar with the nose-to-tail movement when it comes to pork. But what about duck? At Betel, an excellent and somewhat under-the-radar restaurant in the Village, chef Adam Woodfield has started offering an “Aunty Mai’s Duck Dinners” to accompany his modern southeast Asian menu on Sundays. The duck dinner is served family style for at least four people minimum and is a seven-course meal that uses every part (from the neck to the tongue). It’s $55 per person. The menu features dishes like steamed rice noodle rolls with barbecue duck and basil and twice-cooked duck with blood plum tamarind sauce. The reservation has to be made at least two days in advance, so book yours today.

Fried of the Farmer in the Hudson Valley

Hudson Valley chefs will prepare local ingredients for a Friends of the Farmer tasting on Saturday at the Copake Country Club in Copake, N.Y. The event is from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Tickets are $10 a person; $20 for a family of four (two adults and two children 12 and under); $5, children ages 7 to 12. Tastes are $1 each. Jeff's Kitchen and Hayground School Benefit

On Sunday, attend the annual benefit for Jeff’s Kitchen and scholarships at the Hayground School, 151 Mitchell Lane, Bridgehampton, N.Y. (it will be held at the school).
