“Patio Grill in Red Hook, Pop-Up Pool at Brooklyn Bridge Park”

Whether you’re having a swim at the Red Hook pool, checking out the Expedit cabinets at IKEA or just shopping at Fairway, check out the new Fairway Patio Grill on the waterfron in Red Hook open ever weekend through the summer. On Chef Mitchel London’s menu, a roster of hot weather eats: BBQ Chicken, Corn on the Cob, Burgers, Hot Dogs. Lobster rolls, Lamb Sausages, Chicken Sandwiches, and peach blueberry pie, ice cold watermelon, organic ice cream sandwiches and thirst quenching freshly squeezed lemonade and ice tea.

Pop-Up Pool at Brooklyn Bridge Park

It's hot out there kids. Time for a dip! Come on down to Brooklyn Bridge Park for a refreshing swim in the new Pop-Up Pool at Pier 2. There you’ll find calm crystal blue waters, a sandy beach stocked with shady umbrellas and great beach chairs for you to chill out in. A beach barbecue grill called “The Beach Shack” serves up hot dogs, burgers, veggie burgers, and more, plus ice cream, cold drinks and local beers. Lockers and changing rooms/bathrooms are air conditioned, bright, and clean. It was not crowded when we went last week and we had a blast. Just show up 30 minutes before swim time (swims start every hour on the hour until 5:00pm) for a wristband for your swim time and enjoy!

The Pop-Up Pool is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Labor Day. The beach area and concession stand, called the Beach Shack, will be open until 11 p.m. every day.  Happy Weeekend!
