“Required Eating”

This week's list of required eating:

Chef Ryan Skeen’s Salt and Pepper Pork Ribs ($8) at Irving Mill. And if you’re feeling like your heart is invincible, have his sinfully gooey Macaroni and Cheese with Pork Rinds ($8), too.

Chef Chai Trivedi’s puffy tandor-baked naan (the stuffings change daily) at Pranna, served with cumin yogurt raita and red pepper puree. The best part? It’s free, served as bread service before dinner.

Meg Grace’s peanut-butter bacon brittle at The Redhead.

David Crofton’s Pumpkin Whoopie Pies with Cream Cheese filling at One Girl Cookies at 68 Dean Street in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn.

While it’s still warm enough, an ice cream cone from the organic creamery, Blue Marble (on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn). I love their Mint Chocolate Chip. Or skip the big chill and have a steamy, creamy cup of their organic hot chocolate.

And if you're looking for some required reading, I am loving Three Cups of Tea, by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin.

Be sure and tell me what's on your list, whether required eating or reading. Share your Two Cents, below!

I second your choice for One Girl Cookies whoopie pies. I would also add the dip platter at pequena in fort greene, brooklyn (with a pitcher of ritas of course). The plantains are the best i've ever had!
