Favorite Wines: Depends on my mood and what I'm eating--I love Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Cabernet or a cold crisp fruity Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc

Favorite Restaurants: Had a perfect meal at Tocqueville recently, but am always trying the latest and the greatest

Favorite Cookbooks: Love digging for new inspiration on the internet...I'm a fan of Mark Bittman, Tyler Florence, Jamie Oliver--others too numerous to mention

Music to cook by: Brazilian Bossa Nova, Frank Sinatra, Kanye West, Sarah Vaughn

About me: Mostly I am a self-taught cook, with some formal training. I've been a cooking teacher, as well as coordinated several cooking programs. Love to experiment in the kitchen and entertain family and friends.

“NOLA would be perfect”
I've spent a lot of time in the Crescent City and it would not only be the perfect setting for the next Top Chef (which I love!), but the attention would hopefully help to revive the still struggling city. Some of the best chefs in the country are stationed there, as well as a varied assortment of unusual ingredients and classic dishes indigenous to the area that would make for some interesting challenges!!
