“Huevos Rancheros at a Spanish Place?”
I found it strange that a Spanish restaurant that prides itself on being authentic would have a Huevos Rancheros special for brunch. I headed to their website to check the menu and didn't find that dish. Maybe it was an off the menu offering...in which case it should be pointed out. In my opinion they are doing themselves a disservice by serving a Mexican dish in an otherwise authentic Spanish concept. If anything, I think they should embolden the offerings by making them more Spanish.

“Funny... :)”
This is the funniest negative review of any place I have read in a long time -it rivals those of Alan Richman. I've been wanting to visit Pulino's since it opened, but always got the vibe that it was exactly the place you are describing here....Glad I read this! Keep up the excellent work!

“Mezcal's new home, not Tequila's”
The tittle of this post is totally misleading. Tequila does not come from the maguey plant. That would be MEzcal, Tequila's cousin drink. Tequila comes from the Agave plant. Therefore, if this new place, which by the way was very well conceived and executed, is any temple of anything, it is of Mezcal, not Tequila. Thanks!

“$$$$”
Does anyone know how much is a standard corkage fee at a restaurant like Alto? I am a neophyte when it comes to that. Thanks.

“Stay away from this place unles....”
This is supposed to be a restaurant but as you approach it you think it is a club. the crowds look confused and the staff still needs to be trained on how to do a good job. They are jobial and friendly, but need a brush up on their job descriptions. I would not go back to this place...

“Rain”
Went to Calle Ocho, located around the corner from Rain (and owned by the same group) and they told us about the closing. Apparently they are renovating the locale and upgrading the concept. Hope it works out!

“Cabrito”
I agree about the noise level...the key is to get a few margaritas down as quickly as possible so that the noise becomes a challenge you want to beat by talking even louder - LOL. It is fun I swear...!
