he misses and the cheery staff and sincere welcome that you feel while eating here adds a lot to the experience. It’s a good formula and one that is on target for our challenged financial times. Burgers dipped in fondue sauce may not be part of the stimulus plan but maybe they should be served in Congress. I think they’d generate overwhelming bipartisan support.

The Fat Hippo is located on 71 Clinton Street (at Rivington Street), 212-228-0994.  Hours: 4pm until 2m during the week and 4am on weekends.
