“Five Points”

Brunch New American East Village Moderate Great

, spicy Bloddy Mary is a nice addition to that plate. For those who prefer brunch to be on the sweet side, the basket of homemade muffins, scones, sticky buns is a crowd pleaser as a starter (or for dessert), as are the churros with hot chocolate dipping sauce and the sinful ricotta fritters--round fried puffs of ricotta served with apple confit. But the lemon ricotta pancakes, decorated with fresh seasonal berries are truly the brunch menu's super star. Light fluffy, with the right sweet-tart balance, they are like ice cream on a summer day. Perfect and necessary. Champagne might be a nice pairing here, and always.
